BARBERA OLTREPÒ PAVESE D.O.C.
Grapes: Barbera dell’Oltrepo Pavese.
Production area: Montescano, in the heart of the historic Buttafuoco.
Tasting notes: Bouquet with quite intense and fine aromas of plum, violet, rose, notes of liquorice, cherry and sweet spices. Dry, rather fresh in acidity, slightly tannic (soft tannins). Medium-bodied, fairly balanced, of good persistence with a fresh finish. It goes well with hot appetizers or cured meats, grilled pork or mixed, with fermented or spicy cheeses.
